Where can you find the answers to questions critical to your career,
salon profitability, and support your personal quality of life?
In my two-plus decades of working at the chair and consulting to the
industry, these questions can include (but not be limited-to):
* Should I open my own salon?
* Should I hire employees or consider independent
contractors?
* How can I control inventory costs?
* How can I boost retail sales?
* Who will help me resolve the inevitable conflicts
that arise?
* How can I build my client base?
* Should I stay in the business or try some other
line of work?
I developed my Salon Coaching programs to help clients answer – and
take productive action on – these questions, and more.
It’s been my experience that most independent salon and franchise
owners, cosmetology instructors, and individual hairdressers at one
time or another would prefer – and benefit from – a knowledgeable and
trusted outside resource that can provide insight and objectivity to
help overcome the hurdles in their career or business path.
Coaching is a straightforward, results-oriented four-step process that
provides custom-designed solutions to meet our clients’ unique needs
and goals.
Step One: INITIAL
TELECONFERENCE
Coaching is based on confidence and trust, and a simple phone
conversation will help you determine if you’ve got the right “fit” with
your coach. Come to the call prepared with your key concerns, as a
coach needs both information and honesty in order to give you the most
effective recommendations.
Step Two: SALON ASSESSMENT
In this stage, you meet with your coach to further discuss your list of
priorities. This enables your coach to develop an action plan and begin
offering powerful insights. The assessment normally involves two hours
of dialog either in person (or by telephone, if necessary). Expect to
be asked direct questions and receive transformative coaching tips that
may be outside your current way of thinking. Be sure to listen and keep
your mind open -- your coach is on your side… and our job is to provide
long-term advantages for you.
Step Three: ASSESSMENT
REPORT
Once all the information is gathered, your coach develops a written
action plan based on your needs, goals and preferences. This will be
provided in a report that can be reviewed together in person or by
phone. You now have more than ideas floating in a mind unsettled by the
pace and detail of daily work life! Because your plan is on paper, it
provides concrete guidelines to solve your problems… reach your goals…
and enjoy more of what life has to offer.
Coaches do not MAKE decisions for clients, but they DO encourage
accountability… and that helps clients take smarter, more effective
action.
Step Four: TELEPHONE FOLLOW-UP
Usually a scheduled teleconference within two weeks of receiving your
report will anchor the trusted relationship and motivate action as you
move down your career path for success. At this time, many clients
consider regular follow up sessions to ensure they stay on the path and
time line reach their goals.
Simply put, coaching is a short-term investment pays long-term
dividends to your career or business growth.
Why go down the bumpy road of trial, error and hard knocks when
coaching can help you accelerate smoothly on the highway of success?
